The Round

Many fine dishes can be made with  Round, like Roasts, French Dip, Jerky, Eye Round Roast, London Broil, Round Steak, Cube Steaks Hoagie Steaks,  Rumps Roast just to name a few...do stop in and we will be happy to share ideas for the bottom Round

  

                

  

 

 

                       

 

Round Steaks are from the beef hide quarters. The fat cover is minimum, so it can be a bit dry. High in protein, round offers a richer flavor and good value. Rounds are ideal for a Swiss steak. Just have us run it thru the cube machine (once only), this will often the round (or use a cube steak). Place meat in a sauce pan, adding a can of tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and black olives with your favorite spices on low temperature until the meat pulls apart easily. Perfect for an informal meat on cool days with a hearty salads.
